You might have heard a marketing pro say something like, “If you just spend one hour a week writing, you’ll be able to send an email to your subscribers each week and chop up that email into 5 social media posts. Yes, it really just takes an hour each week to deliver consistent, great content.”
HOG.
WASH.
This #MarketingTipMonday literally took me 45 minutes to write, which means one of two things:
1️⃣ I’m the world’s slowest content creator
2️⃣ Creating interesting, informative content takes time
These posts take me a long time to produce because great content is:
🎯 tailored to my target market (small business owners)
🎯 understandable to “outsiders” (i.e. people who don’t do marketing full time)
🎯 organized well so the reader doesn’t have to think too hard
🎯 original and clever
🎯 in support of a marketing service I provide
Does your content hit those targets too?
If not, spend more time on your content creation to enjoy a better ROI for your efforts. Or, you can always talk to a pro (wink wink) about how to create compelling content that converts.
