#MarketingTipMonday No. 21

Marketing taglines can be descriptive of the product (Melts in Your Mouth, Not in Your Hands), highlight a competitive advantage (Can You Hear Me Now?), or promote a lifestyle customers aspire to (Think Differently).

But above all else, taglines should be memorable.

Here are 3 tips to make your marketing tagline memorable:
1. Review the taglines of your competitors and position yours accordingly. Try a different type of tagline than the rest of your industry.
2. Do not pick three adjectives that all start with the same letter. If your tagline is “Innovative. Impactful. Illustrious.” You probably aren’t any of those things.
3. Use the same tagline everywhere. Some companies try to use different taglines for different channels. Big mistake! For 99% of companies, you just aren’t popular enough to be remembered without repetition.
