#MarketingTipMonday No. 38

You know that testing is important in marketing, but there are two legitimate reasons you may not be able to test:

  1. You don’t have a large enough testing groups to produce statistically significant (repeatable) results.
  2. You can’t chance losing any budget on a new initiative. Money is tight and you have tried-and-true strategies you can count on.

But there is a solution. Thankfully, many marketers are eager to publish their own test results. A quick google search can likely give you some insights into how your own test would perform.

While this isn’t 100% as accurate to your specific business as your own testing would be, it’s a great alternative when you don’t have a large enough list or budget. And, you’ll be able to make better informed marketing decisions knowing how the tests performed for other companies.

Note: This is a short-term solution. There is no replacement for being able to review testing data from your unique audience.
